NACIN, Mumbai is one of the oldest Regional training
Institute, which imparts training to the officers of Central
Excise and Customs Department on Central Excise, Customs and
Service tax Administration, Narcotics, other Administration
related matters and Human Resource Development. In the year
2009, CBEC entrusted NACIN, Mumbai with the professional
training of the 61st Batch of IRS (C&CE), which was
successfully completed. The NACIN Mumbai is also the
designated as Multidisciplinary School of Economic
Intelligence and has been imparting various enforcement
agencies dealing with economic offences and security of the
country.
As one enters the Academy, the most striking feature is the two-acre green campus, which has been developed to provide an experience of learning
in a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. A large number of winged denizens such as the weaver bird, golden oriole, kingfisher, copper smith barbet,
cuckoos etc. feel at home amidst the canopy of a large variety of trees and plants in the campus. The campus has seasonal flowers and trees which
makes the campus calm and serene.
NACIN, Mumbai primarily imparts training to the CBIC officers of the Western Zone comprising the states of Maharashtra and Goa on a host of Customs
